About Us

Taunton Hash Has been going for over 20 years and in the year 2001 celebrated its 1000th run with a weekends roistering at the Quantock lodge conference centre near Nether Stowey.

The Hash meets on Monday evenings at 7pm during the summer season (April to October) and 11am on Sunday mornings throughout the winter season (October to April).

Usually the hash meets in a car park of the pub chosen for that days run, although occasionally we can convene at some picturesque location and, after hashing, descend on a pub chosen for its closeness to the run site.

The run usually takes about  an hour and a half and can be as long as 2 hours.  Taunton has a notorious reputation with other hashes for its marathon runs.  A Bristol Hasher was overheard bitterly complaining about missing pub time and vowing never to run with Taunton again saying,  "
They are all a bunch of bloody athletes".  Obviously he hasn't seen the latest lot.

Anyone wishing to run with Taunton Hash House Harriers  can find information on current runs and venues on the
Hairlines Page, turn up to the location specified and ask for a member of the Committee (see the Committee page). Everyone will be made very welcome
